ABSTRACT

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease that is devastating for the community, because there is no vaccine that can prevent this disease. This disease is closely related to the state of the environment around the residence, as vectors of disease-causing dengue can breed on the environmental conditions that do not receive the attention of the family. Families can perform dengue prevention movement if the family has the knowledge, attitude and practice of good against dengue prevention. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of knowledge, prevention Housewife against dengue prevention. This research is descriptive quantitative analysis using cross sectional. The number of samples in this study were 30 respondents. Sampling using total sampling. The instruments used in this research is the interview using a questionnaire. Data collected by using a questionnaire to the variable Knowledge, Common Symptoms, Disease, Dengue Cases, Type Mosquitoes, Prevention, Knowledge Capital, Education, Public Awareness and the Role of Government. Observation sheet used for data collection practices. The data have been obtained and analyzed using computer software to analysis is univariate analysis. The results showed that the average age of respondents was 37 years, most of the respondents had education up to high school level and the respondent was a housewife. As many of the respondents have a high level of knowledge about dengue and its prevention.
